MVRC has 4 full-time pros and several
part-time pros who are available for private lessons, group lessons or clinics 7
days a week. Please contact the club (440-461-8105) to schedule a lesson. We can set up group
lessons with others at your level at a convenient time for you. Lessons may be
scheduled for ½ hour or longer. 24-hour cancellation is required.

New and potential members may schedule a no-charge ½-hour lesson with Dave Polk, our Head Pro. He will then be able to inform you of the programs we can offer you at your ability. This lesson serves as your rating session when you want to join a league.
Non-members may take lessons without joining for the above rates plus a $7 per session guest fee. Guest fees (up to $42) will be refunded if you join.

Dave Polk (Director
of Tennis / Head Pro) has been at MVRC for 28
years. His father, Ed Polk, was one of our first members and introduced Dave
to the game at MVRC when Dave was 11 years old. He started teaching here when he
was 17. Dave is involved with all aspects of
club activity, including USTA Tennis and the Adult League Program. Anyone
interested in joining the club should contact Dave. He will help you with
scheduling lessons, getting started in the Leagues, playing USTA Tennis, etc.

Oksana
Fouchadji (Associate Pro /
Director of Junior Development) has been teaching tennis and running the
Junior Program at MVRC for 11 years. Oksana is a USPTR certified pro. She has
coached both regional and nationally ranked juniors. Her daughter, Tina, plays
for Hawken Upper School and is highly ranked in the Midwest section. Oksana's
teaching style concentrates on technique. She prides herself in an organized and
professionally-run Junior Program. Oksana runs multiple Junior Clinics and
Drills for all levels of ability and age. She runs the Junior League Program
which give the juniors an opportunity to further their training. She also
teaches adults at MVRC. Oksana is regarded as one of the top players in
Northeast Ohio and still competes in local pro tournaments.

Mayfield Village Racquet Club welcomes Diane Koury to it's team of teaching professionals. Diane is certified by the USPTA and USPTR, and has trained with such Master Pros as Brad Gilbert, Tom Gullikson, Billie Jean King, and Dennis Van der Meer. For the past ten years, she has divided her time between being the Head Pro at the Canterbury Golf Club and teaching in Central Florida. We are excited to have Diane join us, and know that her experience as a tournament player, professional, and coach will add another dimension to our teaching staff. She enjoys working with players of all ages, and has certifications in "Munchkin Tennis" as well as Competitive Player Development. Mark Litvin (Associate Pro) has been teaching a variety of racquet sports: table tennis, badminton, and tennis for the last 26 years. His teaching style concentrates on tennis fundamentals. He helps junior players learn proper technique. He helps adult players inprove their overall tennis game. Mark is an active participant in our Junior Clinics and Drills for all ages and skills.
